This Condo Training was developed by NCDC to address this population and help walk condo buyers through the specifics of Illinois condo rules. Topics discussed include legal requirements of associations, turnover of books by the developer, duties of the board of directors, assessments, annual budget, and rights and responsibilities of owners. NCDC can help by meeting with clients one-on-one to go over budgets, determine mortgage pre-qualification amount, pull credit, and offer individualized credit counseling for free. (2-hour session)
